Give Back

Here at Material Speed Designs we like to push what we are able to create to its limits. However, life also has a way of pushing us to our limits. We hear about stories where others lose loved ones due to unforeseen illnesses, but it still feels foreign when it happens to your own family. In May of 2020, my aunt was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.  Even though this undoubtedly weighed down on all of our loved ones hearts, no one felt this more than my aunt. She stayed strong and positive through it all, no matter what the doctors would say.  She went through 9 rounds of chemo, unexpected ER visits, and numerous surgeries. No matter how hard it got, she never gave up hope and always looked toward the future. Courage is defined as strength in the face of pain or grief. Teresa Ross was the embodiment of this word and at the end of October 2020 her battle was over and she was finally at peace.

No one can predict what the future holds or what impact a single moment in time can have on our lives.  All we can do is take life day by day and try to be the best that we can be while we are here.  After seeing the effects that cancer has on a family and how big the financial impact can be, we have decided to help other families during this difficult time in memory of Teresa.  Material Speed Designs will donate 10% of our year end profits to The Colorectal Cancer Alliance in order to help others and their families that are battling colon cancer.  We have also included a link to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance site for those who would like to donate of their own accord to others in need.

Gone but never forgotten. We love you auntie.
